Korean Nintendo Wii Mii and Photo Channel Error – FIXED!
August 22, 2009
I was really happy and ecstatic when FINALLY I was able to fix the Mii and Photo channels in my Korean Nintendo Wii. I was not able to use them before as I kept getting “This channel can’t be used” error upon entering the said channels.
But thank God I found this site. JOKERz’s instructions were right on the spot. His instructions are very clear. For my case, instead of using the Wii homebrew Channel File Manager to delete the appropriate system channel titles, I opted to use Any Title Deleter which can be downloaded here. All was well and now I can finally create Mii characters!

The next step now is to install a USB loader on my Wii. I have been longing to save homebrew games and applications on my newly bought Western Digital My Passport 320GB HDD. With a USB loader, Wii can read games from the HDD thus, saving a lot of work from the Wii lens.
However, installing a Nintendo Wii USB loader seems to be a very challenging procedure. Time to read another set of Nintendo Wii tutorials. LOL
Heckling in the PBA
July 6, 2009
Fans have been regarded as the lifeblood of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). But what would the league do if these fans go over their limitations?
This issue has been exposed again during the Game 2 of the best of seven finals between the San Miguel Beermen (SMB) and the Barangay Ginebra Kings (BGK). After the end of the buzzer, when both teams were about to go to their respective dug-outs, a BGK fan was attacked by SMB players Danny Ildefonso and Marc Pingris. See the video here:
The BGK fan was later identified as Ferdinand Nervadez, a 40-year old businessman from Bulacan. Here’s a couple of his photos taken by sportscaster Patricia Hizon:

Based from what I have read from several news reports, Ildefonso went after that idiot BGK fan because the fan kept saying vulgar words to him. An SMB insider said the fan has been banned from watching the PBA games live… forever. Okay, justice has been served. But wait. Something’s not right.
The idiot fan got banned just by giving invectives and dirty finger. Okay. But you can actually hear many fans in the venue shouting invectives to the players. So that means these fans should have been banned as well? My point is there must have been something else that the idiot fan did or said. Something that the PBA found very unjustifiable. Ergo, the ban. And I’m wondering why this has not been reported.
According to insiders, Mr. Nervadez did not only shout invectives and give Ildefonso a dirty finger. This idiot BGK fan also told Ildefonso that his (Ildefonso) daughter is going to die of cancer. Yes, Ildefonso’s daughter has cancer and has been undergoing chemotherapy for a while now. That was actually the reason why the SMB cager opted not to play in the recently concluded PBA All-Stars. Again, this has not been shown in the news reports that came out. Why?!
Something’s really fishy. Maybe the PBA did not let this out because they do not want to be faulted for not putting enough security personnel to control the crowd. Or in general, have measures to address hooliganism. Yes, the environment is a controllable factor. And in this recent heckling incident, the PBA once again allowed to get the matter go out of hand.
Now, the following are the lessons that should be learned from this basketbrawl:
For the PBA: True enough, the PBA exists because of the fans. PBA teams are private companies that invest in the league to advertise their respective services/products. Yes, the PBA is nothing if there are no fans who support the league. However, restrictions should be imposed. PBA players are also humans who have emotions (even though many people seem to regard basketball as a sport close to cockfighting). Ildefonso was provoked by the BGK fan. Things might not have had an ugly turn if the PBA strictly implemented security measures in the venue, granted the league has such.
For the players: Players have to learn how to keep their poise and composure. This no matter how the fans insult them (sad but true). They have no choice but to always check their temper, considering how many ill-mannered and hooligan fans are there.
For the fans: Sure, fans are the so-called “lifeblood” of the PBA. But being paying fans doesn’t give one all the right in the world to ridicule and humiliate the PBA players. That is just PURE HOOLIGANISM.
I sincerely hope that the PBA come up with measures to curb fan heckling. Such display of barbaric act and utmost hooliganism all the more put a dent into an already stained image of the league.
FOR SALE: Minolta Film SLR with Minolta 5400 HS Flash and Vivitar Lens
December 30, 2008
Hi! I’m selling my father’s Minolta Film SLR. Here is the package:
1. Minolta Dynax 700si
2. Minolta 5400 HS TTL (with leather casing and stand. Made in Japan)
3. Vivitar AF 28-210mm 1:3.5-5.6 (complete with front and rear caps. with lens hood and Raydawn Japan made UV filter. Made in Japan)
4. Yashica SLR bag (Made in Japan)
5. OpTech USA camera strap
6. Camera manual
Details:
1. Bought abroad in 2002 for more than $1,500.
2. Used only once in 2005 for my photography class back in college. My father wanted to be a photography enthusiast that was why he bought the system before he retired. But for some reasons, he did not use it (maybe he lacked the passion).
3. Was only stored in the Yashica bag with some silica gels.
4. Has a major crack in the grip area (what’s that called? rubber grip ata or something). When I used it in 2005, the exterior was in mint condition and can even be likened to a brand new unit. Then I stored it again in the bag. When I checked it in 2007, ayun na. I saw the cracks. The rubber grip feels so malambot. Honestly, I don’t know what’s the cause. It did not fall naman when I used it. Ganun ata talaga ‘pag plastic made. I’ll check if it can still have a make-over of some sorts. Hehe. May rubber grip replacement ata. I’ll check. Other than that, ok naman ang exterior.
5. Items were never dropped.
6. Just tested it right now and it still works.
Reasons for selling:
1. Cam gear not used.
2. Papa needs money to fund his small business.
3. A little amount from this sale will be used to fund my future DSLR. Unfortunately, the lens and the flash are only compatible with Sony Alpha dslrs and I’m gearing towards buying a Nikon. I can however keep this as a collection, but it would be too expensive of a collection at that. Hehe.
Price: Asking price is P14,998. Still negotiable. Items can be sold separately depending on the offer. My priority though is selling it as a package.
Interested? Have some questions you want to ask? Just give me a buzz. YM id is krijtin.

PBA commish befuddled at suggestion to file charges vs ‘physical’ players
10/20/2008 | 09:14 PMMANILA, Philippines – The league has enough rules to police physical play, Philippine Basketball Association commissioner Sonny Barrios assured Monday in response to a report that the government would push for the filing of criminal charges against basketball players who commit hard fouls during games.
Justice secretary Raul Gonzalez said in two separate radio reports that he would recommend for the PBA to file physical injuries on players who intend to hurt their opponents in a game that is widely accepted as “physical” in nature.
Barrios was left dumbfounded by the suggestion.
Read more here.
What we see here is a proposed government intervention on how professional basketball should be played in our country. Basketball is a contact sport and one cannot avoid being hurt from the physicality of the game. Imposing something like that would just make the players play soft and sissy. PBA sure knows how to self-police its ranks. What Gonzalez has in mind is just plain stupidity. Filing of criminal charges? I mean, seriously?!
Now I’d like to know what the good (/me sarcastic) secretary thinks about boxing. Isn’t it a game “that is widely accepted as ‘physical’ in nature”? And that’s even worse in terms of the physicality of the sport.
I’ve already seen so many trapos in sports (e.g. Pichay). Tama na ang isa pa especially in the mold of Gonzalez. The Philippines’ justice system has many issues to deal with. Sana huwag na makisawsaw si Gonzalez sa PBA and rather do something for the betterment of our rotten justice system. But wait, how can he do that if he himself, as Justice Secretary, is one of the problems?

My new blog
March 10, 2008
Hi!
This is my new blog. This is already fifth in my collection. Among the five that I have, only one is currently active. Haha. Honestly, I just got curious as to why many people I know own a blog here in WordPress. Since almost everything here in cyberspace is for free, it is sometimes, and I repeat, SOMETIMES justifiable to use (and eventually abuse?) everything it has to offer. Hehe.
Well I guess all I am trying to say is like any other pardoned prisoner, I would like to start a new life, err, I mean a new blog and try not to be too lazy to write on it.
So there. Starting today here in the wilderness of WordPress, I am writing anything about me – my rants, thoughts, cravings, hallucinations, dreams, etc.
Happy blogging, Tin!
