Perhaps the worst scenario children can ever witness is to see their beloved mom in excruciating pain… and yet they can’t do anything to ease it.

Earlier today, my mom was rushed to the hospital. Her legs hurt so much and she looked very pale. According to her hematologist, the pain in her legs is one of the effects of hemolysis. Yes, that same old, same old F-n shit.

She screamed in pain from time to time, telling us it’s the first time she experienced that. Pain killers did not cut it for her. I felt so helpless. It sucks that I can’t do anything to lessen the pain. All I can do is pray. Not that I am underestimating the power of prayers but if I can just shoulder at least half of the pain she’s been going through, I would.

But I can’t. And it sucks.

To you who’s reading this post, please say a little prayer for my mom. Thanks.

It’s so circa May-July 2009 all over again.

But we’re hoping… still.

We have to be optimistic.

We are optimistic.

That everything’s going to be okay.

In His time.
